Douadia Bougherara, Pierre Courtois et Sophie Thoyer, members of the CEE-M, took part in the Collective Scientific Expertise (ESCo): “Using plant diversity in agricultural areas to promote natural pest control and to protect crops”, which was presented at a symposium on 22 October 2022 at Sorbonne University, France.
INRAE has produced a synthesis of the scientific knowledge available to assess the extent to which vegetation diversity present in agricultural plots and landscapes can contribute to pest natural regulation, thus constitutes an alternative management lever compared with current mainstream methods based on the use of synthetic pesticides.
