Autonomy-enhancing interventions as a prevention strategy against risky behaviours
The aim of the seminar is to present a health intervention research project planned for 2022-23 aiming to prevent risky behaviours among students from Université Côte d’Azur. The project combines a characterisation of risky behaviours in terms of individual time and risk preferences, which are used as a proxy to measure the welfare consequences of the intervention, with the development of a smartphone application which will convey prevention messages to the users. The messages are meant to increase the autonomy of the users (in the sense of Christman 2009) by making them aware of certain factors that shape their preferences towards risky behaviours such as smoking.
