Congratulations to Simon Briole, a postdoctoral researcher at CEE-M, who has just been appointed to the UM Junior Professor Chair on the theme ‘Economics of Climate Change and Human Health.’ In a broader sense, Simon will be conducting research on the connections between the environment and human capital, encompassing both health and education perspectives.

Simon’s professional journey notably includesy:

  • 2022-2023: Postdoctoral research at the Center for Environmental Economics in Montpellier, AirCov Project
  • 2021-2022: Postdoctoral research at the Paris School of Economics and DARES
  • 2019-2021: Postdoctoral research at J-PAL (Laboratory for Action against Poverty)
  • 2019: Ph.D. in Economics from EHESS, under the supervision of Eric Maurin
